WEEKLY UPDATES: |
Saturday September 5th |
Tonight was a busy night for myself. I was running the Pro Sedan, Mod 4, and the Super Truck. Due to the weather coming in we ran the pro sedans first. I qualified third fastest. When the green flag dropped I was able to stay behind the 15 car and stay in second. We ran about ten to fifteen laps when we ran into lap traffic. I was able to close the gap on the 15 car and make a couple moves using the lap cars to my advantage. The 15 went high to get around a lap car when I ducked down and mad it three wide. We both made the pass when we went into turn three and the was contact resulting in the 15 spinning. We both had to restart at the end of the fifteen car field. We made our way back to the front not in time to catch the leader. I finished third.

In the mod 4 I started the heat race outside the front row. I battled the 138 of Brad Queen for around a lap. I was able to hold him off and won the heat race. In the feature I started in the same position. For the whole feature the 138 and I battled for the lead. I was able to win the feature for the Jackson Motorsports mod 4. I finished second in points.

The main feature of the night was the Super Trucks. I went out for qualifying and ran a 14.9. I qualified second right behind my teammate the 55 of Brad Queen. On the first lap I was able to get low and pull in behind the 55. There was a truck length between us before a red flag came out for two trucks that had a hard wreck. With about fifteen laps to go I knew that I was really good on a short run and wasn't able to stay on my teammates bumper to make a pass on a long run. So I knew I had to try hard to get around him. When we took the green on the restart I got into the back of my teammate and he got loose. I was able to sneak low and make a pass for the lead. I held off a hard charging 55 to take my first win of the season for the Bud Freeman and Rock and Roll Offroad Chevrolet. I finished second in points behind my teammate 55 Brad Queen.

Saturday August 29th |
It was an unusual Saturday night at the race track. The sun was shining, but the high was 80 degrees. With the cooler weather, we knew that the car was going to run better. In the heat race I started inside second row. Taking the green I was able to move to the high line and move into second. I was behind the 77 and was trying to figure away around. On the last lap I went to the high line in turn three and couldn't make it stick and spun out. I was able to finish third. In the feature I was pretty much the same story. I made my way to the front after starting on the back due to winning the feature last weekend. For about ten laps I worked on the 77 to find a way around. I wasn't able to get by I finished 2nd in the feature for Jackson Motorsports.

Tonight, I was running the Mod 4 and the LMST Super Truck. In the Mod, I started the heat race outside row two. When I took the green flag I made it three wide coming out of turn two to take the lead. We had one caution lap and I was able to win the heat.
In the feature I started in the same position. For fifteen laps I followed the 77 of Debbie Cullar trying to find a way around. On lap sixteen I was able to get a good run on the high side. After a couple laps of battling for position, I was able to make the pass and win for Jackson Motorsports Mod 4.

In the LMST I qualified 5th with an 15.1 lap time. When we took the green flag I was able to stay on the back bumper of my teammate 55 of Brad Queen. I followed the 55 and the 31 for a couple laps when the 55 got loose going into turn three. I was able to sneak by and run down the 31 of Brandon Pinson. I was working hard on getting by him when there was contact resulting in us both checking up. The 55 got a good run on the outside and was able to pull up beside the 31. There was contact between the two trucks, and the 31 was turned sideways in front of me. With no where to go, I collected him which brought out a the caution. The 31 and I went to the back and I wasn't able to make my way back up to the front with the damages I received in the wreck. I finished 7th.

Saturday August 8th |
Today we went to Mrytle Beach Speedway in Mrytle Beach, South Carolina. This track was a half mile and would be the first time i've been on a track of this size. Qualifying did not go as good as we had hoped. I qualified 18th. When the green flag dropped of the 50 lap feature I was able to get around a couple of trucks on the high line. We had a couple cautions and when the checkered flag came out I was able to get a 11th place finished right behind my teammate 55 of Brad Queen for my Rock and Roll Offroad and Bud Freeman Construction Chevrolet. |

Saturday August 1st |
We were running the Mod 4 and the Truck tonight. In the Mod 4, I started outside second row in the heat race. I was able to take over the lead on lap three. With about five laps left the 01 had a run on the outside and was able to make the pass and win the heat race while I finished second. In the feature we started the same way. Again I was able to get the lead and hold off the 01 for a couple laps. He had gotten another run on the outside and there was contact which brought out a caution. I was put to the back for being involved. I was able to come back and win the feature. I was DQ.
In the Truck we qualified 5th, fighting the chassis setup all night. When I took the green flag, I was able to gain a couple of positions. I was battling with the 1 of Mark Pinson the whole race and was never able to get by. I finished 3rd with an caution free race.

Saturday July 18th |
We headed to Houston to run the truck today. It was a 3/8 mile track. In the first practice session we were having a problem with fuel. I was fourth fastest in the first session. My crew and I made a few changes to truck. I went out for our next session and was able to move up to second fastest behind my teamate number 55 of Brad Queen. We made a few more changes to try and get a little more out of he truck. Before I was able to see if our changes help in the heat race mother nature wouldn't lets us go any farther. The racing program was cancelled. |
